The Utah Jazz placed seven players in double figures led by second year combo guard Donovan Mitchell's 19 points (pictured below) as Utah cruises to a 117-96 "W" in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Blazers looked as though they really were not interested and in the Christmas Mood...laid back Northwest Flow!

The Jazz led 59-46 at the break and pushed that lead to 83-70 after three. Dante Exum led that Jazz Bench with 15 points with Jae Crowder adding a dozen and Kyle Korver 10 points as those three players off that Jazz Bench will pay big dividends from now the dog days of the "Logo" to through the race through 82 to mid-April.

Evan Turner (12 points) and Zack Collins (10 points) led that Blazers Bench trying to give that Rip City starting unit some life and they never did. Dame Lillard the Rip City 1st Team All-NBA last season had just 20 points with CJ McCollum adding eleven points as Rip City was just outta sorts.

Jazz shoots nearly 56% from the field but just 12 for 23 from the stripe and they must change that. Portland shot 40% from the field and just 65% from the stripe and losing the FG% battle and on the glass coming out of the motel spells gloom and doom in the "Logo"!

Utah who was in the hole in the west last month is now 17-18 while the Blazers fall to 19-15 and one bad week out west a team could go from the #3 seed to the #11th seed in a wink of an eye!
