#3 Notre Dame 3 #2 Clemson 30 F

Where do you start as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish was just manhandles to but it mildly in Arlington, Texas at Jerry's House at the 2k18 Goodyear Cotton Bowl. The Clemson Tigers took that "Wait and See" Approach filling out the Irish in the first frame then from the 2nd frame on just took it right to South Bend U with a convincing 30-3 "W" and it wasn't that close.

Clemson ran for 211 yards as All-SEC RB Travis Etienne went for 109 yards of that on 14 carries and a score. Freshman QB Trevor Lawrence (pictured right) racked up 327 yards on 27 for 39 but it was that big play ability from the Clemson wide outs led . by Justyn Ross who caught a 52-yd TD and a 42-yd TD from Lawrence with Tee Higgins corralling a 19-yd TD pass.

Etienne the with the game in hand ran for a 62-yd TD and it was that Clemson "Speed" that was evident in this one. The Irish looked a few steps slow. ND also lost their All-American DB Julian Love in the first frame and that was huge for that Irish secondary.

ND just had 248 total yards of offense and 160 of that was through the vertical passing game. They ran for 88 yards as Irish RB Dexter Williams for the first time all season was under wraps by that Clemson "D".

Now the Tigers wait for the winner between Alabama/Oklahoma and that game will be January 7th, 2k19 at the Big Levi's 501 Straight Leg Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
