The New York Jets as expected let lead man Todd Bowles go as he is relieved of his duties as Jets current GM Mike Maccagnan keep his gig as he came in with Bowles and usually the GM is attached to his lead man but in this case Maccagnan keeps his gig at least for now.
Bowles was 24-40 as Gotham City Green's lead man including a promising first season as he took the Jets to a 10-6 season. Then after that season in 2015 Bowles went 5-11 (2016), 5-11 (2017) and 4-12 in 2018.
Jets made quite a few changes to that roster including a rookie QB Sam Darnold (pictured right) added to the mix in 2018 but it wasn't enough. Add a 38-3 loss to the Patriot Bowles had to know he was Dead Coach walking.
Now the Jets turn to someone I am guessing with the trend the offensive mind and gets Darnold turned around as well as the defense. That's two lead man on Sunday as I expect more on Monday and maybe a surprise or two.
