On the eve of that colossal match up between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Boston Patriots the "Only Game in Town" dba Rip City Blazers took on the C's dba Boston Celtics. After the intros and an extra frame its was the little guys on the hardwood in this one that did major damage as expected.
Blazers Combo Guard and Engineer (Graduate of Lehigh University PA in Engineering) C.J. McCollum and East Bay Native Dame Lillard of Three Stripes Scooby Doos gave the C's the Saturday Night Fever with John and Olivia nowhere in sight!
Rip City wins 127-123 in Overtime but not after CJ goes for a team-high 35 points (25 of those in 1st half) and Dame with "12 Bars" nets 28 points waiting on seven tables as the C's knew they would be a problem and had no answers.
The C's called on their I.T. Guy dba "Pocket Point God" Isaiah Thomas to keep the C's close and in the contest and he did with a game-high 41 points but on 28 shot attempts. The difference in the game was Extras" playing in a starring role in Blazers "Big" Meyers Leonard (17 points on 4-4 3pt FG) and C's Terry Rozier (15 points on 3-6 3pt FG) as they both kept their teams afloat playing stellar off the pine.

The Blazers win but nit after Rozier sank a 27-footer in regulation with 8 seconds remaining to tie the game up at 113-113. It was just too much Dame and C.J. in the end as Rip City moves to 19-27 while the C's fall to 26-17...
