The game didn't lose any of its luster even though both teams come in after talking L's. The Jayhawks took it on the chin playing "Huggy Bear" Bob Huggins and the Mountaineers in Morgantown. The Wildcats lost to Rocky Top Tennessee as Rick Barnes and his group came to play.

Now the plot thickens as both were probably looking towards this match up and not making any excuses for the L's its just the fact of the matter. Kansas will get the edge because of that experienced back court of Senior PG Frank Mason (19.9 ppg) and Junior Combo Guard Devonte Graham (13.7 pgg). Throw in Super Freshman Josh Jackson (15.5 ppg) they are averaging a combined 49.1 ppg and that is Top 10 in the country.

The Wildcats super Freshman back court of Malik Monk (21.9 ppg) and De'Aaron Fox (16.2 ppg) are as good as advertised. They are guided by their unquestioned leader in the Garden State's Isaiah Briscoe (14.1 ppg) and those three combine for 52.2 ppg.

If all those trio's numbers cancel themselves out the game will be won in and around the paint with the "Hustle Board" heavily involved. Let's go to the Tale of the Tape:
