The Chicago Bulls showed the Denver Nuggets why they are the best in the eastern conference on the defensive end on Thursday night blocking some 18 Nuggets shot attempts. That See Red Block Party also led the Bulls to a 106-101 win in their first game in 2015 and hopefully a sign of things to come playing at the Madhouse!

The Bulls down 53042 at the break used a 35-21 push in the 3rd to take a 77-74 lead after a Captain Kirk money ball. The Bulls then would hold off a feisty Nuggets Bunch down the stretch behind some big shots by Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson and Derrick Rose.

The Bulls shot nearly 54% from the arc as the "See Red Butler" continues to his stellar play with 26 points, eight boards and eight helpers. Pau Gasol added 17 points, nine boards and nine blocks as he had half of See Red's 18 blocks. D-Rose also chipped in with 17 points and eight assists as the Bulls move to 23-10.

The Mile High Nugs were led by former DePaul Blue Demon Star Wilson Chandler's 22 points and Point God Ty Lawson's 20 points with seven assists and seven boards. The "Manimal" Nugs Star PF Kenneth Faried had a huge night with 18 points ands nineteen boards and three blocks. The Nugs just missed a few key play down the stretch as they shot 36% from the arc. Nugs fall to 13-20 on the season.

Up next for the Bulls Saturday January 3, 2015 vs the C's...
