To no ones surprise in Steelers Nation Keith Butler was hired as Defensive Coordinator. To every ones surprise even the Steelers was Dick LeBeau's Resignation. That caught everyone off guard but Butler who the Steelers have blocked from numerous Coordinator and Coaching Vacancies has been views the "D" Coordinator-In-Waiting for quite sometime.

Now comes the question will the Steelers still run that 3-4 zone blitz scheme that looks like he hasn't run its course but they need the full assortment of personnel for it be purely effective. The Steelers though started to turn that corner in the 2nd half of the 2014 season leading them to a 11-5 AFC North Chip.

They were #6 against the run (100.3 ypg) but 27th against the pass (253.1 ypg). Then 18th in both points allowed (23 ppg) and total yards (353.4). Steelers need Corners but they also need to make that push upfront and get to the QB as "Hurries" are just as effective as Red Jersey Collections leading to turnovers!

We will see how Coach Butler moves forward with Backers Coach Joey Porter close right there following closely...
