I will tell you this much as they sit in the 8th slot in the west no one will want to play the Phoenix Suns with all that "Firepower" from the guard slots. The Suns starting out blazing versus the Portland Trailblazers then cooled off and then started again as the Rip City Guards Dame Lillard and Wes Matthews did their best to try and match those Sun Guards.

The Suns jumped out to 40-29 lead after one and a 66-52 lead at the break behind as both Eric Bledsoe and Isaiah Thomas had 13 points each. The Blazers still down 15 at the end of three 91-76 spent so much energy trying to stay close they just ran out of gas in the 4th.

Rip City though came roaring back in the 4th behind Lillard, Matthews, Nicolas Batum and supporting actor trying to get a lead role in Dorrell Wright (15 pts) as they tied the game at 102-102 at the five minute mark. It was the Suns in the penalty as they make seven free throws and go on a 16-11 run to close out the game.

The Birmingham "Baron" Eric Bledsoe had a game-high 33 points with ten boards and six helpers. Isaiah added 27 points and throw in the "Dragon" Goran Dragic's 16 points the Suns Guards accounted for 76 of the Suns 118 points.

The Blazers gets a team-high 27 points (6-8 3pt FG) from France National Team Star Nicolas Batum as the Suns have no small forward to guard him.  Matthews and Lillard both net 22 points as Rip City shoots 13 for 32 from Glendale. Rip City falls to 31-12...

The Suns moving to 26-18 and holding of the OKC Thunder for #8 in the west shot 51% from the field.
