The Kansas Jayhawks gets a huge lift from two top reinforcements in Freshman Cliff Alexander dba @HumbleKid_2 on Twitter and Sniper Brannen Greene as they outscore the Texas Bench 29-8. The Jayhawks Star Forward Perry Ellis and PG Frank Mason III led the KU Attack as they move to 5-1 in the Big 12.

Alexander gets a team-high 15 points and grabs nine boards with Greene adding 14 including 4 for 5 from the Nike money ball rack as KU was just up 32-30 at the break. UT Austin Burnt Orange was led by Soph. Guard Isaiah Taylor who had a game-high 23 points as he gave KU Guards the Saturday on Campus Matinee Business with no movie butter popcorn, Twizzlers, and Sprite.

It was KU's push in the 2nd half and a 43-32 frame that led them to a 75-62 "W" shooting an impressive 78% from the stripe and taking care of the Orange with just three turnovers. Texas SF/PF Jonathan Holmes added 14 points for Texas as heralded Freshman and almost a Jayhawk Myles Turner chipped in with 8 points and eight boards shooting just 4 for 11 from the field.

Hookem' falls to 3-3 in the Big 12 and winning this one would have put them in a tie with Kansas...big loss!
