The Rip City Blazers took care of business vs the Washington Wizards on Saturday Night and the match up between the back courts took a quick side note to even bigger news for the Rip City Blazers. All-Star PF LaMarcus "L-Train" Aldridge was suppose to have surgery on that thumb but instead played in this one with resounding results!

Rip City was down 32-20 after one and 55-45 at the break. That's when the "Only Game in Town" got on their horse as they cut that ten point deficit to a point 70-69 by the end of the 3rd. They did it by 8 points from L-Train coupled with money balls by Matthews and Rip City super-sub Dorrell Wright.

John Wall and Bradley Beal woke up in the 4th going right at Wes Matthews and Damian Lillard as the Wiz Kids D.C. took the lead 83-79 with just over five minute remaining in the contest. It was an L-Train trip to the stripe for two and Matthews again hitting not one but two money balls putting Rip City in the lead 87-85 to stay. Blazers use a 16-11 run to close out the Wizards for a 103-96 "W"!

L-Train had a game-high 26 points while grabbing nine boards with Lillard adding 20 and Matthews 19 as they combined to shoot 7 for 17 from the arc. A 20-20 night from the stripe propelled Rip City to the winner's circle.

Washington gets 25 points and nine helpers from Wall-Star and 19 points and six boards from Paul Pierce. Bradley Beal added 16 points. The Wiz Kids D.C. falls to 29-15 while Rip City moves to 32-13 running away with the NBA Northwest...
