The Chicago Blackhawks on the 2nd leg of a back to back loses on the back end 5-2 at the Rexall Center in Edmonton, Alberta after beating the Wild in the Xcel Energy Center on Thursday night 4-2.

The Hawks got off to a good start with Brandon Saad scoring seven minutes and some change into the first from Captain Serious and Hossa. That would be the good news for the Indian head on this night as the Oilers went into overdrive!

The Oilers score the next three goals including two in the first for 2-1 lead after one and the 3rd goal after a Saad 2nd goal of the night tying the game up at 2-2. The Oilers Jeff Petry made it 3-2 at the end of the 2nd with the Oilers scoring a 4th late and an empty netter for a 5-2 "W" over the 2nd place in the central Hawks.

Edmonton played extremely tough in their end as the Hawks could only muster 21 SOG going 0 for 2 on the power play. Edmonton was 1 for 2 on the power play and had 22 SOG as they beat Hawks Finnish net minder Antti Raanta four times in 21 SOG. Edmonton's blue paint stopper Ben Scrivens stopped all 21 SOG he saw.

The Indian Head falls to 27-13-2 with 56 points two points behind the central leading Opryland USA "Preds". The Oilers move to 10-23-9 which is the worst W-L in Ice games for the 2014-15 season.
