The an Diego Chargers at least through the first two frames had a nice plan executed on how they were going to attack the New England Patriots. That game plan resulted in a 14-3 lead early behind a Malcolm Floyd 15-yard TD pass and a Darrell Stuckey 53-yard fumble recovery for a TD.

The Patriots though stuck to their plan as Stephen Gostkowski hit a 22-yard FG making it 14-6 and Ron Gronkowski scored on a 14-yard TD Pass making it 14-13 at the break. Both teams in the 3rd were stifled by some pretty solid defense play until Brady and Company got it rolling.

After another Gostkowski FG making it 16-14 Pats. Brady and the Pats offense got the pig back and Brady hit WR Julian Edelman for  69-yard TD pass capping a Pats 23-14 victory as the New England has been doing on defense in their last nine game winning eight of them.

Tom Terrific threw for 317 yards on 28 for 44 and two TD's and an INT. Edelman caught eight Pigs for 141 yards and a TD with "Gronk" hauling eight himself for 87 yards and a TD. The Pats were just patient and took what that Bolts Defense was giving them.

As for San Diego that Offense just took a dive in the 2nd half and that had a lot to do with Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner on the corners for the Pats. Bolts QB Phillip Rivers threw for just 189 yards on 20 for 33 and a TD and INT. WR Malcolm Floyd caught three pigs for 54 yards and a score but Air McCoy was grounded in the 2nd half.

The Pats ran the ball for 87 net yards holding the Bolts to 53 net yards rushing. That Pats "D" held the Chargers Offense to 216 yards of offense and that will get you to the Big Bowl.
