The Sacramento Kings knew they didn't have the Logo's #1 Boogie Man in soon to be All-Star DeMarcus Cousins out with a Sick call-in. Kings starters PG Darren Collison and Rudy Gay knew they had to carry the load and did. The only problem was the Load they carried wasn't big enough for one Kobe Bryant to overcome late.

The Kings leading 81-78 after three had an 88-81 lead with just under nine minutes to go after a Carl Landry jumper. The Lakers though would close on a 17-7 run as the "Black Mamba" like the Yankees "Enter the Sandman" Mo Rivera of Columbia has done so many times closed out the Kings like only KB 24 can!

After two free throws by Gay making it 90-87 Kings Kobe goes slam dunk to cut the lead to 90-89 and then after a Collison "J" making it 92-89 the "Black Mamba" always playing with his money never house money as the great do hits a game-tying money ball tying the game up at 92-92.

Collison wasn't done as the former UCLA star hits 1 of 2 making the score 93-92 only for the Lakers to get a lay up from "Hustle Man" Jordan Hill for a Lakers 94-93 lead. With under 50 seconds remaining Collison hits a reverse lay-up putting the Kings up 95-94 and Laker Nation was real quiet but an arrogant quiet as they have Kobe and Team Cow Bells does not!

Kobe then indices a foul on Rudy Gay leading to two made free throws from Kobe making it 96-95 Lakers as the Kings Gay misses a money ball and after two more Kobe free throws Kings rook Nik Stauskas misses a potential game-tying money ball for a Lakers 98-95 "W"!.

Kobe goes game-high 32 points with six assists. Carlos Boozer off the bench nets 15 points and grabs nine rebounds. It was Collison's 26 points and six helpers down the stretch matching the great Kobe play for play with Gay adding 23 points and five boards.

Lakers move to 6-16 while the Kings fall to 11-11...
