The 2014-154 Chicago Blackhawks have been in a groove now going on some three weeks and the New Jersey Devils played them as well as anyone in the Hawks latest streak in the Winner's Circle. In the end a timely game-tying score by D.K. in the 3rd along with Hawks net minder Scott Darling handling things in the "Blue Paint" the Hawks escape the New Jersey Turnpike with a shootout victory.

It was Bryan Bickell scoring in the 2nd period for the Indian Head erasing a Jordan TooToo goal in the first period for the Devs tying the game at 1-1. Jersey then gets a Stephen Gionta goal not even three minutes into the 3rd making it 2-1 Devs. That set up a Duncan Keith game-tying goal from Captain Serious and Boss Hoss with just over three minutes to go tying the score sending the game into extras.

There was no score in the five minute extra session which set up both Toews and Patrick Kane scoring in the shootout back to back with both Devs missing that gives the Hawks point #2 as they move to 39 points.

Darling stopped 22 of 24 shots with Devs net minder Keith Kincaid (making his 1st ever start) halting 37 of 39 shots but getting beta twice in the shootout facing two of the best in Toews and Kane.

Hawks travel to the Hub Thursday December 11 facing the "Spokes" as "Word around the Boards" is Zdeno Chara will be suiting up for the Bruins.
