The Thunder for the most part once they got the lead from the Spurs took off as it as a combination of KD and Russ with the OKC Bench that did the trick. When OKC's Russell Westbrook is effective and making an impact on both ends of the Hardwood...OKC is virtually impossible to beat. That is exactly what happened to Tonight as the Spurs had no answer for him, KD, or the OKC Supporting Actors trying to catch an Logo Lead Role.
The Thunder trailed in the 2st and at the break. They assumed control of he game midway through the 3rd frame and never looked back. Leading by nine after three 80-71 the Spurs never got closer than eight points as the Thunder wins 106-94. KD extends his streak to 39 games of 25 points or more with 28 points and seven boards. That was a hard 28 as he shot just 11 for 26 as Kawhi Leonard did his job making it tough for the Logo's only Reaper...the Slim Reaper. Russell Westbrook added 27 points and waited ion six OKC Tables with "Air Congo" Serge Ibaka chipping in with 11 points and grabbing a Dozen Oranges. Reg Jackson also had 14 points including a couple of High-Flying Rim Rattlers.
The Spurs turned it over 18 times and Tony Parker had one of those nights which had a lot to do with Westbrook. TP9 nets just 6 points on 3 of 10 as his back up Patty Mills had a team-high 21 points. Duncan added 17 along with K.L as Dunc also grabbed eight Oranges. Spurs know there Magic Number is to win at least four games or have the Thunder lose two more games...and they can get Rest before the real show starts.
OKC moves within three games of Team S.A.S. at 55-19. The Spurs fall to 59-17 as they were 40-16 when the Streak started with K.L. coming off injury and that would be 19-1 when Leonard is starting in the line yup in 2014...take that Spurs Haters!
