The Yankees finally get their first "W" of the 2014 season as they beat the Houston Astros 4-2. The Yanks did it buy getting some timely hitting from the Captain, Ichiro, and a Rookie in his first MLB Start.

The night belonged to Rookie Hot Corner for the Bombers Yangervis Solarte of Venezuela. In his first start in the Show and at the Hot Corner Solarte didn't disappoint at the dish. He goes 3 for 3 with an RBI as he also scored two runs. Ichiro Suzuki playing in Right went 2 for 4 scoring two runs as it as the Yanks 8 and 9-Hole Hitters that wreaked havoc on 'Stros Pitching. Jeter with the the Yanks up 2-1 singled in a run in the 5th to make the score 3-1. The Yanks went onto win 4-2 as the both Teams picked up a run each.

Yankees Starter Ivan Nova allowed six hits and two runs with one K as he gave out five Free Passes in just 5 2/3 innings. He gets the win as 'Stros Starter Brett Oberholtzer went 5 2/3 innings as well allowing three runs as he struck out five and walked one. 'Stros OG Dexter Fowler continued smashing Pinstripe Pitching as he went 2 for 4 with a run and RBI. In the Three-Game Set he hit .333 with five runs scored, four hits, a Bomb, and two Ribbies...go figure.

The Yanks escape Harris County, Texas at 1-2 and now faces the Blue Jays up in Toronto for three. The 'Stros will host the AL West Divisional Halos for three as they fall to 2-1.
