The Texas Rangers came in 11-8 in their Three-Piece in Oakland versus the 2nd hottest Team in the Show the Athletics of East Bay. Japanese Star Yu Darvish handled his on the front end and young emerging Rangers Star Martin Perez handled his on the back end as the Rangers finish an impressive sweep of the then 13-4 A's now the 13-7 A's.

Perez went complete job scattering three hits striking out three while issuing just two free passes.  He moves to 4-0 with an impressive "Monsters on the Bump"-Like 1.42 ERA. The Athletics young Star Pitcher Sonny Gray also came into the game with a sparkling 3-0 W-L but wasn't as fortunate as Perez. Gray went seven allowing three runs on five hits walking four and striking out eight. That dreaded Lead-Off Walk to start the game came back to haunt him on a Alex Rios Three-Bagger to put the Rangers ahead after one and that was all they would need for Perez. Texas added a run-scoring single by Rangers LF Michael Choice in the 5th and for more insurance gets a 6th Inning Donnie Murphy Solo Blast to cap the scoring at 3-0.

The Rangers now at 14-8 moves ahead of the A's as they stay at 13 wins and have eight losses.
