PLAYBOOK

For UCONN to grab the Net:

The Huskies must get out in Transition and try to create as many Live Turnovers as possible. The Half Court Set won't do them any good as UK Defensive Versatility with Bigs taking Smalls and Smalls taking Bigs is what gave the Wisconsin Badgers problems. All-American Guard Shabazz Napier has yet to go off an there is no better time than now as they need huge Point Production from Bazz. Ryan Boatright needs to continue to wreak havoc on the Defensive End and stay up in People. Boat needs to be a factor in Transition as well and will he and Bazz be able to handle the biggest guards they have seen to date? DeAndre Daniels will get his biggest Test yet as well with multiple Players his Athleticism and Length guarding him...can he explode or at least give the Huskies close to 20 points and another double double? UConn's Role Players have to be productive and he Huskies must shoot the Money Ball in the 40% plus range. They have to make UK go over the Top and keep them out of the paint as UK was 46-24 to Wisconsin in the paint.

For UK to grab the Net:

Coach Cal needs to play Big as I would play both Twins off the Ball as Boat and Bazz would guard them and use James Young or Alex Poythress at Point Forward. That immediately takes away UConn's Ball Pressure that has been giving teams fits. They also need to post the Twins up and can UConn handle Young and Poythress on the wing? Then in the Paint can UConn slow down Randle as they need to double him and force him to give the Orange up playing that Left Hand. UK biggest Weapon is James Young and when he is leading UK in Scoring they hit the Winner's Circle almost all the time. Young is dynamic as the 6'6" 200 lb Freshman and 2013 Mc Donald's All-American from Rochester Hills, Michigan has lived up to his billing and is the most complete of all the Freshmen UK has on its Roster. He is also their #1 Money Ball Threat and Coach Ollie must take him away and if he can that forces thew Twins to produce more Offensively that should be advantage UConn. Dakari Johnson, Blue Julius, and Marcus Lee need to dominant in the paint and if they do UConn might be in trouble.

It's like a Chess Match on the NBA Level UK is Big and they need to use that to their advantage going "Mouse in the House" posting their Guards. UConn superior Guard Play is a factor and they need to use that by getting in Transition make or miss and forcing UK to guard as they have shown a propensity to play like Freshmen at times...put the pressure on them UConn!

Game Time 9:10pm ET on TBS...with Nantz, Kerr, and Anthony on the call!
