They have quietly stayed close enough to the AL Central leading Tigers but they have also by staying close to Detroit Hardball stayed even closer to the AL Wild Card. The Tribe have owned the 2013 White Sox and they picked up more Stock Options on Friday Night be beating them 3-1.

Behind a Pitch Limit  from Rookie RHP Bryan Shaw who didn't get past the 4th inning the Tribe still beat the White Sox for it's 15th win vs the Pale Hose in sixteen tries. This 3-1 victory comes after the Tribe put the Pale Hose on a CSI Bluedude Sportstalk the night before with a 14-3 drubbing. White Sox Starter Hector Santiago went four innings allowing three runs on six hits as he struck out three and walked three. The Tribe get an RBI each from DH Ryan Raburn, SS Asdrubal Cabrera, and RF Drew Stubbs.

The Tribe closed the door on the Pale Hose with Captain Save-A-Game Chris Perez notching save #24 in twenty-eight tries. The Tribe now are 1.5 games behind the #2 Wild Card Rays as they move ahead of the Bombers. The Pale Hose have chased it in dropping to 58-89 as Fan Appreciation Week on the South Sides started back in early June 2013.
