The Pittsburgh Steelers Director of Football Ops was right on and he had to be as the 2013 Draft Class had top have a few players in it that could be immediate help. The Steelers needed and influx of talent and found some Keepers they hope as we have yet to see what they do on Game Day when it's live vs all ones.

The 2013 Draft Class on that 53-Man Roster, Practice Squad, or IR....

ILB Vince Williams 6th Round Pick

ILB Alan Baxter 2013 Undrafted
OG Chris Hubbard 2013 Undrafted
CB Devin Smith 2013 Undrfated
OLB Terence Garvin 2013 Undrafted

RB Alvester Alexander (1 yr)

Injured Reserve

DE/DT Nicholas Williams 7th Round Pick

2013 5th Round Pick CB Terry Hawthorne of the Fighting Illini was cut in the Final Cuts to 53

The Steelers will get or should get significant contributions from Jones, Bell, Wheaton, Thomas, as well as Williams. Jones will back up OLB Jason Worilds or platoon with Worilds. Bell has that mid-foot sprain and it looks like Week 7-8 he will be back in action. Wheaton looked the part in pre-season and looks to be that 4th WR right behind Jerricho Cotchery. Williams and Thomas should be big on Special Teams. Watch Thomas in the Nickel as he can play Nickel and both Safety positions.
