The New York Yankees looked at least through six they were going to sweep the O's leading 3-0 with Andy Pettitte having his October Stuff on the bump. The Yanks chased O's Starter Chen after four as he gave up three runs on four hits. Then the O's opened up a pouch of Big League Chew and flipped on the 80s box-office Thriller "Escape from NY" starring Kurt Russell in the clubhouse between innings and just like that the O's blow the whole d*mn thing up in the 7th.

Pettitte leading 3-0 through six gets in trouble and gives up his two runs in the top half of the 7th. Leaving with the lead in the 7th frame still the O's tack on five more runs including two sets of three-run bombs by O's SS JJ Hardy and CF Adam Bombs Jones. That was Kurt Russell escaping from the Bronx Zoo right there as the O's leave the BX with a little backside left but enough for the next series.

The O's then capitalize on that inning and cruise to a 7-3 "W" as that Yanks Pen imploded and Pettitte couldn't get that Pen to the 8th where they may have been able to use the Sandman to roll the credits on the sweep in Mo Rivera. Now the O's jump the Yanks in the East by a 1/2 game. The O's also jump the Yanks and Tribe in the AL Wild Card just 3.5 games behind the Rays. The Yanks are 8.5 out in the East and four back in the Wild Card. That might be one later on in September the Yanks wish they would have won!
