The Chicago Bears shocked everyone with their 1st round selection but in hindsight I don't think you can undervalue what it means to have a great center and all the potential is there. Then with Bears All-Time Great Brian Urlacher gone the Bears get Three Backers and all of them are players and two of them had higher graded then when they went. They also add to the O-Line Depth in which they sorely need and who knows maybe even that Pick will beat out what they have at Tackle now. Maybe a little bit if a reach in Round 1 but overall solid for the Bears. Now all they need now is those "Honey Bears" back doing what they do...shakin' on the sideline.

2013 Draft Picks of the "Monsters of the Midway"

Note: Bears signed S Tom Zbikowski, CB Kelvin Hayden, OT Jonathan Scott, and Backers D.J. Williams and James Anderson in Free Agency and there is a couple of Starters in that pack.

Round Pick Position Player School

1 20 OC Kyle Long #QuackAttack

2 18 ILB Jon Bostic #GatorChop

4 20 OLB Khaseem Greene #ScarletKnights

5 30 OT Jordan Mills #LaTech

6 20 OLB Cornelius Washington #BetweenTheHedgesU

7 30 WR Marquess Wilson #WAZU

Long is the youngest son of Raider HOF Howie Long and brother of Rams DE Chris Long. Played in that uptempo Style in Eugene with the Ducks and if he is anything like Poops and Big Bro...Bears got it right.

Bostic is a Thumper at Inside Backer and he and Greene (2012 Big East Defensive Players of the Year) could see game action other than Special Teams right away. Greene was an absolute steal in Round 4 as many had him going in Round 2.

Mills will challenge the Starters and 2013 Free Agent pick up Jonathan Scott on the O-Line...

Washington played well at Georgia but was overshadowed by 2013 1st Rounders Jarvis Jones (Steelers) and Alec Ogletree (Rams) on that Dawgs "D". He had major value where he went in round six.

WR Marques Wilson will add to the Talent Pool at WR and give them more depth as both 2nd and 3rd Wheel Earl Bennett and Alshon Jeffrey can't stay on the field.

Overall the Bears get a C Grade as Long I think they could've have taken in Round Two but those Backers are Key as they add to the "D" ad the Quality of Special Teams....
