No one including myself saw this coming as the Warriors not only win the series 4-2 but nearly won game one to make the series look even more lopsided. The Golden State Warriors shock everyone but #DUBnation and Warriors Heads as they beat the Nugs tonight 92-88 and win the Series 4-2 to advance to round two vs the Alamo City Spurs. The Warriors spent the remaining last 5 minutes of the game trying not to lose instead of playing to finish the "W".

For the first time all series the Defenses came to play as it was the usual up and down Nuggets/GSW pace we have seen in the first five games of the Series. The Nugs led at the break by only two and then the Warriors and Young Steph got it going in the 3rd frame. Curry led GSW with 22 points and eight helpers but only had three points at the break. SC30 (Nike Basketball Handle on his Nike Scooby Doos) got a few open looks in the third frame and lit the campfire for Warriors as they end up netting a 3 point 3rd frame to the Nuggets 20 points 3rd frame.

The Nugs them made an improbable run as they were down some 19 points early in the 4th frame and Iggy of Mile High (24 pts 9 rebs 6 assts) caught fire and that 80-61 GSW lead was cut to 80-75 before the Warriors hit another basket. The Nugs got the Warriors to play some of that "Helter Skelter" Ball of up and down and trapping everywhere and the Warriors couldn't handle it for the most part. Sparty Rookie for GSW Draymond "Lawnmower Man" Green saved his best for last as he chipped in with 16 big points and ten rebounds. The "Big Aussie" Andrew Bogut went for 14 points and some twenty-one rebounds and the Warriors hold on late to pull it off.

The Nuggets didn't overlook the Warriors its just that GSW got hot at the right time and what didn't look like a good match up for the Warriors was in essence right down their alley. For a team that was so hot from around Mid-December all the way to April the Nuggets finish on a real sour note. The one good thing they have going for them is that everyone is on the Cap securely for the 2013-14 season except Iggy of Mile High who has an Early Termination in his deal. Look for the Nugs to pick up the Tab for Iggy as the Nugs will be flying high once again in the 2013-14 season.

Warriors start Round Two with the Spurs in the Alamo City one would think starting no sooner than Monday May 6, 2013....
