He was the First in the last 17-18 Years in the Logo to head straight to "Play for Pay" instead of becoming a Student-Athlete at one of the Big-Time College Hoop Schools. He didn't want to go straight to the Logo as an impending ACT that he received word on Draft Day that he passed but it was too late. Evidently it was never too late to enter the Logo.
Kevin Garnett aka KG aka the KID aka the Big Ticket has been all that from Day One as then T'Wolves GM Kevin McHale and Lead Man Flip Saunders had the Ok from Current T'Wolves Owner Glen Taylor to take KG as their 1st Pick and rest is History literally and figuratively. KG has been the Prototype for the Power Forward for quite sometime and he still is. A younger more athletic KG could guard 1-5 and the Only Player that compares to KG and he will be measured with is the Spurs Future HOF Tim Duncan.
Comparing KG and Dunc's Numbers Career Point/Rebounds/Assists/Blocks
Note: NBA All-Time Rank in Parenthesis
KG 25,009 Pts 13,671 Rebs 5,172 Assists 1,954 Blocks 1,304 Games
DUNC 23,300 Pts 12,949 Rebs 3,546 Assists 2,585 Blocks 1,154 Games
KG ranks (20th) Pts (13th) Rebs (52nd) Assists (21st) Blocks (13th) Games Played
KG is some full and a Half Season ahead of Dunc as Dunc is on pace to put up eerily the Same Numbers. KG has Two More Years after this and it is safe to say he might be Top 10 in Points, Assists, Blocks, and Games Played before it is said and done and maybe even Rebounds. One of the Best Careers ever in the NBA regardless of Position played....the Bluedude salutes the Big Ticket...KG...Kevin Garnett on reaching 25K Points and going down eventually as one of the Logo's Best Ever at any position.
