Then Best of the Best in the 6-Hole in the Show for 2K13. The Top Players on the List is coming off of an Injury-plagued 2K12 but is all that and a Cold Glass of Rocky Mountain Spring Water. Another Top SS will be playing on his 3rd Team in the last Three Seasons but its not because he isn't producing at a high level. Throw in some Young Talent in the 6-Hole and you have a nice Crop of Shortstops leading the charge in 2K13.

The 2013 Top Shortstops in the Show (in order)

1. TROY TULOWITZKI Colorado Rockies #Rockies...he had an injury-plagued 2K12 but that is no way indicative of Tulo's Ability. He and Rockies RF Carlos "Car-Go" Gonzalez are the Faces of the Rockies Organization and a hopeful resurgence back into the NL West Heap. Tulo's 2012 Numbers of  8 HR 27 RBI .287 AVG. and a an OPS of .846 is a little under here he would be for a full slate. He is coming of the 2010 and 2011 Gold Gloves and Silver Sluggers Awards and by no means is he finished. Expect Tulo to be  back a a Force in the NL West and for Rockies Nation.

2. ELVIS ANDRUS (pictured right) Texas Rangers #Rangers..he has arrived and he is as smooth as they come with the Leather and the Ash, Maple, or Bamboo. On a Team loaded with players like Adrian Beltre and Ian Kinsler...Andrus get lost in the shuffle until you see the rangers play. In 2012 he hit.286 and knocked in 62 while only hitting 3 bombs. Remember he had Hamilton and Beltre knocking in everything for the Rangers in 2012. He is nowhere near his ceiling and remember his was a #1 Overall pick a few years back. With Hamilton now at Rival Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Andrus must step his Lumber up for the Rangers to have a chance.

3. JOSE REYES Toronto Blue Jays #Jays...what has happened to Reyes outside of Injuries in 2011 his last year with the Amazins' really nothing. Ok he is not getting as many Thefts as you would like him to get but much of that is predicated on Health. He should have a breakout Year in his 1st Year on the junior Circuit for the Toronto Blue Jays. In 2012 for the Fightin' Fish he hit 11 Big Flies 57 Ribbies and hit a pretty good .287.. His OPS was just .780 and he needs to get that number up and most likely will with the 'Jays. If Toronto gets the 2010 Jose Reyes lookout Junior Circuit and American League East.

4. IAN DESMOND Washington Nationals #NATitude #NATS...here is name you need to get use to hearing as they have the "Potomac 2-Pack" S2 n Gonzo...Nats Pitchers Strasburg and Gonzalez and thrown in Hot Corner Zimmerman and OF Bryce Harper. Desmond can flat out play and his numbers in 2012 for the 2012 NL East Champion Nats were darn good. 25 homers 73 RBIs and average of .292 and an OPS of .845...he was a difference-maker. He led all SS in OPS, Slugging and Bombs and will continue to put up those numbers at the rip Age of 27.

5. STARLIN CASTRO Chicago Cubs #NorthSiders #Cubbies....he is a Special Talent and the Cubs and Cub Foes know him all too well. Turning just 23 years of age this March he will be what the Cubs build around for the Future on the North Side. He had 14 HRs 78 RBIs and hit a modest .2283 with a OPS of .753. The knock on Castro is his Mental Preparation as that has been his downfall since he has been in the Show. An excellent Fielder he juts makes too many Errors in the Field for a Player with that much talent and tools. Hopefully for him and the Cubbies he grows out of those Blunders.
