They were Three of the Most Dominant Bigs in the Land including Major College Basketball. Spread out all over GOOGLE USA from Chi City to Rural Georgia to the outskirts of the City of Angels NBA Execs were drooling. Then something entered the Fray...not Injuries, not Off the Court Issues, not even Financial Problems...but this is NOT what I drafted?

The 2001 NBA Draft and the Influence of drafting High School Kids was in full effect mode by then. Team See Red was looking to move All-Star and 20 and 10 Monster Elton Brand as then GM Jerry Krause wanted to go Youth Movement and Crumbs like always did it with Donut Crumbs on his Suit Jacket. Air Jordan had a New Post in Chocolate City with the Wizards playing and Minority Ownership and a Hand into who the Wiz should draft.

What the Bulls saw was Twin Tower like Sampson and Dream and what they got then was Two Student-Athletes in a Man's Game more worried about Whips and Jock Sniffers than a Face-Up or Back to the Basket Move. Heck one of them even told Billy Donovan the current Coach at Florida he was coming and signed a National Letter of Intent.

The Three in Question...#1 Overall Pick in the 2001 NBA Draft Kwame Brown of Glynn Academy in Georgia, #2 Pick Tyson Chandler of Compton, California Dominguez HS, and #4 Pick Ed, Edd, Eddy Curry of Thornwood HS in South Suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Now you see what is Wrong with the Picture. See the Bluedude was Close to the Situation as I had seen Eddy play a Few Times and thought for a Kid that Big and Agile he has a chance but should go to School.

Brown was as Athletic as they come and Jordan, who was then on the Late Abe Pollin's Good Side because he was playing for the Wiz, had the Wizards sold on this 6'9" 250 El Bees of Athleticism but they forgot to check his Wunderlic Score or Thinking Cap as he didn't and still doesn't have either...but drives Whips very Fast and has a Hopper Pass for all Nightspots.

Chandler was at least what he was in HS a Shot-Blocking and Rebounding Machine of sorts who actually cared hence he is the Only of the Three in an All-Star Game. 2011-12 Logo Defensive Player of the Year, and 2012 Team USA Starting Center, Now where is Brown and Curry...I know where they are and Bluedude Sportstalk is rated SE for Sports for Everyone.

Lets look at the Numbers of the 2001 NBA Draft's Bermuda Triangle 3:

Total NBA Salary $92,777,659.00
Currently Knicks Landlord and 2012 Team USA Center
2011-12 NBA Defensive Player of the Year

Stats are misleading as you See Mr. *uck You Man Eddy averaging and Non-Impacting in every sense of the word Impact...13 P.P.G. and 5 off the Glass for the Zeke Thomas and Starbury led Knickerbockers. Also Zeke gave him that Windfall of Cash.

Brown has been Nomadic as the NBDL and Europe is the Only Stops that await him.  Tyson is like what I though the Other Two Player were going to be as getting Better with Age. Chandler was the Pick of the Litter and in Hindsight his Work Ethic from the Start has gotten him to where he is Today.

Promotional Considerations to watch your Picks as even One Year still isn't enough for Players to make that Jump successfully. The Eyes and Combine Workouts can be deceiving so when in doubt go to the Eye in the Sky because he will never Lie.

Note: Stats/Salary from Basketball-Reference.com...Creativeness and Random Logo Facts from Yours Truly...the Bluedude...You better Know That.

360 Degrees from the Bluedude: Tyson Chandler is also, playing the #3 Pick in the 2001 Draft and he is from Europe and he went to the Memphis Grizzlies....the Spaniard from the LAKEshow...Pau Gasol.
