SPORTS SHORTS for April 13, 2012......

BEARS out a Franchise Tag on disgruntled RB #22 Matt FORTE and then to protect themselves they go out and sign Free Agent RB Michael BUSH of the Silver & Black via Bobby Petrino and the CARDS of LOUISVILLE from the Big Delivery PAPA John's Stadium in the 'Ville.

Now knowing the BEARS History on paying their top players was the FORTE Franchise Tag Move a formality or are they trying to move him in the April 2012 NFL Draft.

The BLUEDUDE's sources say that the Cleveland BROWNS are interested at their 2nd 1st Round Pick at 22 and if they can get #22 from NAVY and ORANGE why not. Something tells me the BEARS will use their 1st pick in Round 1 on the D-Line and they want to get a Big-Time ILB to add to the older crew of BRIGGS and URLACHER in the 1st round as well.

BEARS pick at #19 and they might have a shot a Chestnut Hill's ILB Luke KUECHLY or even 'BAMA's Dont'a HIGHTOWER. What the BEARS are saying is we have enough FIREPOWER on the Offensive side of the Pigskin but we need to upgrade and fast on the Defensive side. This could be in the cards for both.

The UCONN Men's Basketball Team is looking like they won another National Championship again as everyone is either leaving to go to the LOGO or transferring out. UCONN under the new NCAA Rule they didn't have the qualifying number for Graduates to be elidgeable for the 2013 NCAA Tourney so now the flood gates have opened.

SG/SF Jeremy LAMB from powerhouse Norcross, GA HS, a projected Lottery Pick by most, has already put his name in the 2012 NBA Draft. Center Alex ORIAKHI has said he will transfer soon and Kentucky and UNC are on his list of schools.

Now the UCONN Huskies are getting word to no ones surprise close to the PROGRAM that Andre DRUMMOND will put his name into the 2012 NBA Draft and he is a Top 5 on everyones Big Board. Reportedly citing recent issues at UCONN but don't fool yourself even before the UCONN Graduation Numbers came up Big Fella was one and done.
