Luck is a Colt an that's no surprise and it is a NFL Formality if anything. All Teams who get that #1 pick usually know by the week before or the week of the draft.

Now looking at this a little closer who is a better fit? Luck is a way better athlete than most think not in the know and RG III because of his athleticism gets that look and you know what look. Luck was also invited to the Downtown Athletic Club in the N.Y.C. and went 0-2. But looking at QB's who win that award is Gloom and Doom playing Sundays.....Buyer Beware Tag on RG III.

RG III came out of nowhere mid-college football season to catch every ones eye and he put up some crazy numbers. But did the Football Gods set him up to fail? Luck was there 2 straight years and could have been the probable #1 the year before this year but went back to Stanford Red for his 3rd playing year as he was a Senior in the classroom.

RG III on the other hand has all the tools to be a great one as does Luck but that Heisman Trophy is in his possession. That Trophy speaks for itself especially after the NFL playing days are over and your at the Alma Mater tailgating and Kegs and Eggs flowing and everything looking peachy. At the same time it doesn't mean a Hill of Van Camp's Pork and Beans on Sundays now does it?

RG III in this company that is going against him succeeding on Sunday:

1970 Jim Plunkett Raiders Won  Super Bowl Good

1984 Doug Flutie Boston College Bears Above average career on Sunday

1986 Vinny Testaverde  the U Buccaneers Average at best

1989 Andre Ware Houston Lions Excellent ESPN College Football Analyst

1990 Ty Detmer BYU Packers backed up QB Favre for a while

1992 Gino Torretta the U Vikes 5 NFL teams in 5 seasons

1993 Charlie Ward FSU played for the NBA's Knicks..tells you something huh...

1996 Danny Wuerffel Florida Saints 3 seasons...anyone know what he did?

2000 Chris Weinke FSU Panthers played baseball in the Minors before FSU

2001 Eric Crouch Nebraska Rams moved him all over the Field but QB...did you get the Heisman?

2002 Carson Palmer USC Bengals had stretches not to Canton but Playoffs

2003 Jason White Oklahoma never drafted

2004 Matt Leinart USC Cardinals.....Call TMZ they know where he is

2006 Troy Smith Ohio State Ravens....Clipboard on Sunday with occasional PT

2007 Tim Tebow Broncos/Jets.....Sanchez replacement and responsible for Tebowing Mania

2008 Sam Bradford Rams...book still out there...looks a little like former PATS' QB Steve Grogan out there

2010 Cam Newton Auburn...maybe the best ever year for a former Heisman Winner and Rookie QB...but now the 2013 MADDEN Cover Watch is on

2011 RG III Baylor.....looks like the #2 Pick and Shanahan gets him...should or should he not call QB McNabb?

All these QB's and only a handful if that had any long-term success in the NFL with Jim Plunkett being the only Super Bowl Winning QB on this list..amazing.  As for RG III he has to think positive and put that trophy in storage and say SELF...wait until 2025 when we are done on Sundays and a CHIP or Two.....and FIGHT for ALL D.C.

Andrew Luck you will be in your MAN CAVE soon in Circle City telling stories on how happy you are not winning that Trophy in the NYC.
