So Alex Rodriguez ties the KID....Ken Griffey Jr. at 630 Bombs for #5 All-Time but did he really tie the Junior?

The Seattle MARINERS struggled to get an identity from the onset of their franchise ONLY to get to of MLB's Best Ever at least for a while. Griffey Jr. drafted in 1987 out of Cincinnati HS Power MOELLER HS and A-Rod drafted in the 1993 out of Miami Florida's WESTMINTSER Christian HS. Both players selected #1 in the Amateur Drafts and both were to turn the Seattle Mariners into a juggernaut in the Junior Circuit.

Immensely talented as both are and extremely excellent hitters did you ever think A-ROD would equal to JUNIOR in Bombs. I thought never then the Baseball world took that turn where Performance Enhancing Drugs took over the Sport and everyone was hitting 30 plus Bombs per season. So why did A-ROD chose to take the PED's and JUNIOR never went that route is the $1 billion question we will never know.

As for catching JUNIOR on the All-Time Round Tripper list it is bitter sweet for me as it probably is for many. I hate to call the kettle black but after looking at the All-Time HR List I would definitely move some guys around or even out.

MLB's All-Time Home Run List and there will be a few Asterisk and you know why:

Note: If you see this symbol * you know what it is.........

1. Barry BONDS 762*
2. Hank AARON 755
3. Babe RUTH 714
4. Willie MAYS 660
5. Ken GRIFFEY JR. 630
    Alex RODRIGUEZ 630*

7. Sammy SOSA 609 *
8. Jim THOME 604
9. Frank ROBINSON 586
10. Mark McGWIRE 583*

11. Harmon KILLEBREW 573
12. Rafael PALMIERO 569*
13. Reggie JACKSON 563
14. Manny RAMIREZ 555 * n still taking them
15. Mike SCHMIDT 548

16. Mickey MANTLE 548
17. Jimmie FOX 534
18. Willie McCOVEY 521
      Frank THOMAS 521
      Ted WILLIAMS 521

21. Ernie BANKS 512
      Eddie MATHEWS 512

23. Mel OTT 511

You see the Asterisk for 6 players in the above list and everyone knows who the real HR King is and there is no doubt about it. You just wish the People that were paying these guys would own up to it as well. Everyone knew what was going on but if it sells tickets and makes MONEY.....and that's what we are really talking about///it's ALL GOOD right.

As for A-ROD, who in the last 3 seasons has fallen off tremendously, where do you think he will finally end up I hope nothing close to the BABE or Hammer' HANK.

Ken Griffey Jr. will always be ahead of A-Rod regardless of what A-Rod does from here on out. JUNIOR is in the BLUEDUDE's Top 5 of All-Time.
