About 3 months ago they they started on their trek to the top of the LOGO's Western Conference. No one paid attention but the LOGO People in the know watching them closely.

They have 3 World Champions and Olympians that will all go up in the RAFTERS in the BIG WIRELESS...the AT&T Center. They have arguably the best Front Office in the LOGO ran by R.C. BUFORD and Coach POPS. We would normally be talking DUNC, TP8, and MANU but we are not.

Enter the new SPURS built on precise scouting, low maintenance, some of the best International Scouting in the BIZ, and the MODEL on how to Operate a Franchise and be sound Financially.

Players like the well-traveled Sniper Gary NEAL...who looks the part and plays the part well. Then there is Spurs Draft pick Tiaggo SPLITTER which some, including the BLUEDUDE, who have not given up on but questioned can he really be a SPURS and POPS Type Player.

The SPURS 2011 Draft day trade to get SDSU's SF from the City of ANGELS Kawhi LEONARD to mold into one of their own. They still have DeJAUN BLAIR who is an excellent fit on their 2nd unit as well the former All-American And All Big East Performer from PITT. Then there is little-known SF Danny GREEN of UNC Chapel Hill Fame that won a chip with the PSYCHO T (Pacers) and Ty LAWSON (Nuggets) Bunch from East Babylon, NY who can play and he defends 1st with MONEY BALL Range.

POPS knew he could ride these guys for the long-haul but still needed to sure up his bench with a veteran or two for another CHAMPIONSHIP Run while DUNC is still breathing.

They pick up BOBCATS PF and 10 year Vet Boris DIAW and Tony PARKER's French National Team Teammate to give them that veteran presence on the 2nd unit. And then the pick-up that didn't look like much but a guy who POPS loved dearly and if he could ever retract a trade it would be this guy. Stephen JACKSON aka WACKO JACKO of Port Arthur, Texas via Oak Hill Academy and a former Big Mac who had intended to go to U of A in TUCSON but never did for Richard JEFFERSON to the WARRIORS.

The SPURS pick up JACKSON and solidify their Wing Positions with a nice mix of  youth and athleticism with veteran savvy and WINNERS on every level. POPS and RC have sat quietly but never turned the Loghts off and kept working. This is what the great NBA Organizations do never stop trying to make their outfit better and at the same time be fiscally responsible.....the SAN ANTONIO SPURS...1999, 2003, 2005, and 2007 NBA Champions....for a reason.
