The Chicago Blackhawks were right there in the 3rd with a 2-1 lead only to lose it midway through the 3rd as the New York Islanders get to Hawks net minder Scott Darling. The Hawks losing vs the Isles also loses their 8-game win streak in the process.

It was Daniel Carcillo scoring with just over five minutes to go in the 2nd giving the Hawks a 1-0 lead. The Isles came right back six seconds later with a Cal Clutterback wrister tying the game up at 1-1.

The Hawks at the start of the 3rd gets a backhand shot from Patrick Kane his Hawks leading 14th of the year putting the Indian Head up 2-1. The Isles through near the top of the Metropolitan division gets a Kyle Okposo goal midway through the 3rd and a Lubomir Visnovsky goal just a minute after that to take a 3-2 lead.  The Hawks never recovered losing 3-2 as they were 0 for 1 on the power play.

Darling stopped 38 of 41 Isles SOG with Isles net miner Jaroslav Halak stopping 23 of 25 SOG. The Indian Head was out shot some 41 to 25 as the Hawks stay at the top of the central at 20-9-1 with 41 points. The Isles move to an impressive 20-10-0 and 40 points trailing the Pens of the 'Burgh by a point.

The Indian Head will get the Calgary Flames on the 2n leg of a back to back at the Madhosue on Sunday Night at 8pm ET.
