It was a "Bad Call" but the "Bad Call" had nothing to do with Braves Kris Medlen getting touched up for 5 Runs in 6 1/3 on Only 3 Hits. It wasn't the "Bad Call" that had anything to do with Redbirds Starter Kyle Lohse Dealing through 5 2/3 allowing just 2 Runs on 6 Hits. Its called Pitching and Defense and the Braves uncharacteristically had some Routine Plays become Mistakes an it cost them.

The St. Louis Cardinals, of Baseball Town USA, take one more step closer in defending the 2011 Fall Classic Chip as they move on to play the Washington Nationals in the NL Divisional Series. Yes the Braves out hit the Redbirds 12 to 6 but look at the Scoreboard closely and that Crooked Number 3 under the Beautiful Letter E.....for Errors. In the Show in Winning Time you might get away with One Error in a Contest but a Crooked 3 up there...No Sir and someone had to pay Tonight and unfortunately it was the "CHOP House 404".

The Redbirds followed their 2012 Hitting Star in OF Matt Holliday who went 2 for3 scored 2 Runs and knocked in a Run. Braves Freddie Freeman went 3 for 4 but no one was on ahead of him to do any Damage. The Braves went 12 for 39 in the Game but left 12 Ducks on the Pond to the Redbirds leaving 2 Ducks on the Pond. In a Single-Elimination Game everything is magnified and those Runners stranded by the Braves was the Huge Difference in the Contest.

The Redbirds move on and for Braves Hot Corner Wayne "Chipper" Jones you leave the Braves Clubhouse one last time but the other Clubhouse awaits...Cooperstown.
