The Fighting Illini of Illinois gets a huge victory as the Illini slowly start to climb back to being relevant in Big Ten Basketball and College basketball as they shock the visiting Spartans and Tom Izzo of Michigan State Basketball 79-74 tonight in Champaign, Illinois.

It was 24 points by Chicago, Illinois Morgan Park H.S. Freshman Ayo Dosunmu (pictured left Top 35 In Class of 2018 Nationally) as he made 4 of 8 from Peoria, Illinois and some clutch play that spearheaded the Illini to victory. The Spartans just could not get on sure footing all game long as that 41-32 halftime deficit turned into a 66-63 Spartans lead under the five minute mark but Sparty could not capitalize on it.

MSU PG Cassius Winston led Sparty with a team-high 21 points and nine helpers but at times it appeared he was all by his lonesome doing most everything by himself on both ends. When was the last time I seen a Tom Izzo Club get beat continuously on Hustle Plays unreal!

Sparty committed 24 turnovers and I counted 8 of those were converted into TDs by the Illini and Izzo preaches that all day long calling it ," No Live Turnovers for TDs" and Sparty was turning the Orange over in groves.

Michigan State falls to 9-3 in the Big Ten and 18-5 overall and not making excuses for them but that Josh Langford Injury will already limited depth put Green in a really vulnerable position. The Illini moves to 8-15 and just 4-8 in the Big Ten...

Note: The Illini after another Morgan Park H.S. Star PG Adam Miller Class 2020 and he is another burner originally from Peoria, Illinois...

Note 2: Sparty missed out on both Vernon Carey Jr. (Duke) and Isaiah Stewart (Washington) as both are 2019 Big Mac's (McDonald's All-Americans and Top 5 Bigs Class 2019... watch Top 40 Class 2019 Keion Brooks who plays with Stewart at La Lumeire Prep Indiana he might pick Green as State is high on his list!
