The 2018-19 Kentucky Wildcats have found their identity which bodes well for March Madness next up as the Wildcats go into Starksville, Mississippi University dba Hail State Bulldogs and gets a hard fought 71-67 victory.

Kentucky got out to a 40-25 halftime lead but they fell back on habits in the second half not putting the Bulldogs away. Hail State got to within one at 51-50 at the below nine minute mark. To Kentucky's credit they held up and never let the Bulldogs grab the lead as UK closes on a 20-17 run.

Wildcats Sophomore PJ Washington's game-high 23 points as he shot 3 for 3 from Jackson, Mississippi. Keldon Johnson adds 13 points and Tyler Herro a dozen as UK committed only 9 turnovers. Its the steady play of Freshman PG Ashton Hagans who goes 8 points and nine assists that has helped get UK playing in the right direction.

Hail State had 8 players hot the score books led by Lamar Peters 16 points and Quinndary Weatherspoon's 14 points. Hail State loss the war on the glass as everything else was even with UK across the board.

The UK Cats move to 9-1 in the SEC and 20-3 overall. Hail State falls to 4-6 in SEC Play and 16-7 overall. Kentucky's next two opponents will tell the tale as they #21 LSU and #1 Tennessee both at Rupp and that's a huge week for #DreamBig!
