I didn't see this coming and it was going to take a team that played like the Tampa Bay Lighting on this night to beat the Hawks. Skating flawlessly and limiting SOG by the Indian Head and add all that up with your Blue-Paint Tenant going Vezina Trophy as did the Lighting's net minder Ben Bishop you have the Indian Head taking their 1st "L" in 13 Tilts!

Everything was looking up for the Hawks as Artem Anisimov got things started for the Indian Head just 43 seconds into the match beating Bishop for his 17th and Patrick Kane with the assist (42) making it 1-0 Hawks. For the remaining 59:17 the Indian Head little did we know would be somehow shutdown and out as the Lighting created a near perfect storm on ice.

Anton Stalman of the Lighting would beat Hawks net minder Corey Crawford for his 6th goal on the season as Tampa would tie the game almost midway through the 1st frame. Then it wen back and forth until Nikita Kucherov finally beat "Craw-Dad" late in the 2nd scoring his 20th on the year for a Lighting 2-1 lead that would go to the final horn.

Tampa simply outplayed the Indian Head from start to finish as they were 1 for 4 on the power play and Chicago was 0 for 3. The Bolts almost double the amount of SOG than the Hawks as it was 33-18.  Tampa might have found their mojo to get back to what they do as the Hawks fall to an impressive 32-14-4 with 68 points. Tampa at 26-17-4 is still within reach of owning the Atlantic Division at just a game back of the instate Florida Panthers...
