The Yankees started early and often teeing off on Carmines Starter John Lackey. Yanks 2014 Free Agent Pick Ups paying big dividends on Saturday at the Bronx Zoo as they hit four Bombs for a Yankees 7-4 win and a 2-1 series lead in the 4-Piece Weekend Bender.

Yanks OF Carlos Beltran with the score 0-0 in the bottom if Inning One took Lackey Deep for a Two-Run HR to make it 2-0 New York and that would be a reoccurring theme of this game. The Sox came right back in their top half of Inning Two with a Two-Run Blast of their own off the Maple of Back Stop and 2014 Free Agent Pick Up A.J. Pierzynski to make it 2-2. The Bombers in the bottom half of the 4th take Lackey for two Solo Shots compliments of Brian McCann and Alfonso Soriano to make it 4-2 Yanks. Lackey floated a few Frisbees and Batting Practice-Like Expresses up there and the Pinstripes locked in didn't miss a one.

With Lackey still on the Bump in the 6th as though the Red Sox has seen enough McCann strikes gain this time a two-run Tater to make it 6-2 Yanks. That would end Lackey's Day giving up six runs on ten hits and four of the six hits via the Long Ball in just 5 2/3 innings. Sox rally to put a crooked two up in the 7th inning only to see Yanks Hot Corner Kelly Johnson go Solo Bomb to end the scoring at 7-4 Bombers.

Yanks Starter Hiroki Kuroda went 6 1/3 innings allowing four runs on six hits walking three while striking out five as he gave up the two-run shot to Pierzynski.  Yanks move to 6-6 with the Carmines falling to 5-7...
