The recent success of OK City Power Forward Serge Ibaka has the BLUEDUDE wondering who went in front of Ibaka in the 2008 NBA Draft. I know but never really analyzed it until now.

The 2008 Draft #1 was the AdiZERO HERO D-ROSE, the 2-Time All-Star and 2010-11 Logo MVP. Let's take  look at the first 23 Picks in front of Ibaka and the Power Forwards and what they are doing now:

2008 NBA Draft

Notable 2nd Rounders

34. Mario Chalmers Heat
35. DeAndre Jordan Clippers
36. Omer Asik Bulls
37 Luc Mbah a Moute Bucks
47. Bill Walker Celtics

Just looking at what went in front of Ibaka from a production standpoint the One guy I had ahead of Ibaka was Darrell Arthur aka Slim Shady of South Oak Cliff HS Dallas, TX via Kansas.

Teammate Russell Westbrook went #4 as the Thunder were the Supersonics than and had not made the move until the Summer of 2008 after the Draft.

Beasely: Has yet to fulfill potential
Love: A Top 3 PF in the Logo
Alexander: that dreaded word..el Busto
Thompson: Half DNP/Half el Busto
R. Lopez: Average at best for a legit 7-Footer
Speights: Good-looking PF needs minutes
Hickson: Good with King James then what?
Anderson: NBA's Most Improved....a Shooter
IBAKA: You would hope Bobcats Biyambo is Ditto Ibaka
Arthur: Good PF needs starter minutes
White: El Busto

Just based on what you would have seen in that Draft on Potential it went in order except for Ibaka should have went ahead of Alexander #8, Thompson #12, and Hickson #19.

The Thunder hit 2 Home Runs with Uncle Russ at #4 ad Ibaka at #24.....and look who is playing for all the marbles....the Thunder.

Thunder GM Sam Presti's Blueprint....right out of Pops and Buford of his former employer...the Spurs.
