The Steelers knew eventually they were going to have to turn to some of their young Corners and now with FA William Gay gone to Arizona the Weak side Corner spot is up for grabs.

Enter Steelers WR "Da Kid" Mike Wallace's Best Friend growing up back in the Big Easy...Corner Keenan Lewis by way of the the Beavers of Corvalis, Oregon with the best chance to land the starting spot. Lewis played well as the 3rd Corner last season and he at least by many Steelers Players admission that #23 will most likely land that Corner opposite of I LIKE IKE #24.

Not saying there won't be any competition for the spot as Two 2011 Draft Picks Cortez Allen of the Citadel and Curtis Brown of Hookem' Horns will also be competing for the Spot as well.

Allen is your prototype Big Corner and when called to play stepped in and played admirably vs some of the best in the AFC. His Length and Physicality came up Big in who he had to cover especially Tight Ends.

Curtis Brown on the other hand played well in Special Teams and might be more of a Nickel Corner than a Starting Corner. Well-Schooled at Corner U in UT Austin, Texas,,,,Brown ha fluid speed, good hips, and excellent tackling ability which is a lost art these days.

There is your Battle for Weak side Corner in the Black and Yellow and one wold think we have to get a good corner sooner rather than later to play with I LIKE IKE #24 you would think.

Both Allen and Brown are projected Starters on Special Teams regardless but if one could beat out Lewis for the Starting role that puts Lewis back on Special Teams and for Lewis that might be the beginning of the end for his tenure in Black and Yellow.
