Not only did Team White Hot stop the Celtics from going to their 3rd Finals in 5 Seasons but they may have put a halt to KG, Sugar Ray, and the Truth ever suiting up together in Green again.

The C's have plenty of questions to be answered and it will start with the 2012 NBA Draft as they will have Picks #21 and #22 and their should be some good players available at these spots. GM Danny Ainge knows that KG threw a Monkey Wrench in the game by his play in the playoffs after he and Rondo carried the C's to the Conference Finals.

Do the C's start from scratch and tear the thing up or do they sign KG with the other 4 Players under Contract for 2012-13 and try to get them some Key Vets to make another run. They do have one thing going for them and that is Point God Rajon Rondo at the Controls.

Let's take a look at the C's Players under Contract for 2012-13 and another Contracts that might be on the Green Team Books:

Rondo PG $11,000,000
the Truth SF $16,790,345
Avery Bradley PG $1,630,800
JaJuan Johnson PF $1,120,440

Brandon Bass PF $4,000,000 Player Option
Greg Stiemsma C $1,029,389 Qualifying Offer

the C's Total Cap if they pick up Bass and Stiemsma $34,541,585

The C's will have some $25 million Plus in Cap Space with KG and Sugar Ray being an Unrestricted Free Agent and both will have Bird Rights.

*Bird's Rights allows Teams to exceed the Salary Cap to sign their own Free Agents at an amount up to the Maximum Salary. This Ruling came from none other than the Celtics Great Larry Bird.

The C's have work to do but with Rondo and the Truth alone in the Fold for 2012-13 they are in a better place than most and they are not far off from getting back in the saddle to make another Big Run. Remember they have DOUBLE R Rondo...of the Ruff Ryders...and you don't. They also have Lead Man Doc Rivers who is one of the best Lead men in the Logo.

Great post! I agree that Boston will be in better shape than some think. Should be interesting to see what they do moving forward.
