The Knicks are in pretty good shape from a Cap Standpoint as they have 8 Contracts coming off the Books from this past season and a Player option to JR Smith who will no doubt pick it up or will he opt out to get mote cash. He has already said he has Financial Issues....and don't we all Earl "JR" Smith.

Knicks Cap for 2012-13:

'MELO $19,450,000
STAT $19,948,799
Tyson $13,604,188

Balkman $1,675,000
Shump $1,680,360
Douglas $2,067,880
J. Jordan $762,195

Player Option
JR Smith $2,500,000

Team Option
Josh Harrellson $762,195

Note: Numbers from HoopsHype.com

The Knicks will not have Shump for most of 2012-13 coming off of an ACL Injury. Coach Mike Woodson has them playing both ends of the Floor and accountability will be huge for the Knicks. Is there a Panic Button...always in MSG with James Dolan running the Show.

Jeremy Lin will be back with the Knicks but it will be interesting to see at what Price. The Cap is already at $60M in Guarantees for 2012-13 not counting Smith, Lin, or Harrellson. Remeber this is a Clumsy outfit as the Zen Master called it recently.

Reported from ESPN SportsCenter June 16, 2012....the Zen Master Phil Jackson plays Josey Wales and the Pale Rider as he rides into the NYC and throws Sticks of Dynamite at the Knicks and the Knicks knew it was coming or should have known.

The Zen Master says to the ESPN NY Knicks Blog June 16, 2012.....

"They don't fit together well. (Amare) Stoudemire doesn't fit well with Carmelo (Anthony)," said Jackson, when asked to expand on "clumsy." "Stoudemire's a really good player. But he's gotta play in a certain system and a way.
"Carmelo has to be a better passer. And the ball can't stop every time it hits his hands. They need to have someone come in that can kinda blend that group together."
