I am not one to go back and say if this happened then this would have happened and so on and so forth. Arguably speaking a make or break scenario stood in front of the Portland Trailblazers again. Remember the 1984 Draft and who knew but Dream to the Rockets at #1, Sam Bowie to the Blazers at #2, and some dude name Michael Jordan to the Bulls at #3. Blazers didn't know and Jordan kind of didn't know what to expect.

The Portland Trailblazers have had enough Bad Luck but they did get the 2006 Draft right by drafting Tyrus Thomas of LSU at #4 and then sending Thomas to the Bulls for the #2 pick LaMarcus Aldridge and you know the rest of that story. Bulls and VP of OPS John Paxson get their pocket picked. Then the Blazers get the rights to then T'Wolves #6 Pick Brandon Roy on Draft Day. Roy has that P2 of the C's and Melo of the Knicks Game....Part Old Man/Part Street/Part Fundamental. This group lulls you to sleep then you look up at the Scoreboard and they have hung 30 plus on you with minimal effort. The 2006 Draft the Blazers get the Highest Grade of any team for Aldridge and Roy.

The Blazers had those pieces to go with either Freshman Big Man from High Street at The Ohio State University by way of Circle City Indiana...Greg Oden or Freshman Scoring machine Kevin Durant of Hookem' Horns and the DMV Area. Then Blazers GM Kevin Pritchard (now an Special Assistant to Larry Bird and the Pacers) had to choose. And with the Blazer Draft History everyone in Rose City was fearing for the worst or were they.

The Rival Supersonics (now OKC Thunder) had the 2nd Pick and they were sitting in the perfect position if you were to get the 1st pick wrong as the Sonics were going to take whoever the Blazers didn't.

Draft Day 2007 and the Blazers went with their gut Feeling and took Big Man Greg Oden and the Curse of Sam Bowie was In Effect Mode...sorry Al. B. Sure. In most cases you have to go Inside out unless there is a Dynamic Player involved and it was Kevin Durant that the Sonics picked up at #2 and they get all the Accolades as Oden's Injuries have all but sent him packing unfortunately right out the Logo.

Imagine right now if the Blazers had selected Kevin Durant. they would have a nucleus of @kdTREY5, BRoy7, and LA12 and that three is just as good as the Thunder 3 or Heat 3. I know you can't go back into time and say what if and maybe if we would have done this this way. What the 2007 Log Draft did was cement the Blazers into a World of Mediocrity if that in a City passionate about their Rip City Blazers.

Outside of the Swoosh they are arguably the only game in town at least on the professional level.I know the Draft is a Crap Shoot sort of Speak but you can't keep missing on picks and you will miss sometimes but if you keep missing they won't miss firing you if your making the call on the misses.

What If....the Rip City Blazers had an ounce of Luck Squeezing the Orange...What If.
