Kentucky gets four starters in double figures as they get it together after a slow start on the first half to up end the Kansas Jayhawks 71-63. It was Grad Transfer Reid Travis from DeLaSalle H.S. in Concord, California by way of the "Farm" Stanford University that carries the 'Cats to victory with a  18 points and a dozen boards.

His partner in and around the paint P.J. Washington went team-high 20 points with thirteen boards as they dominated a Kansas Bunch that is without two "Bigs". Kansas Star Swing 4 Dedric Lawson  a Transfer from Memphis Tigers two years ago had a team-high 20 points with fifteen boards but he wore down down the stretch having to deal with both "Trav" and "Wash" for UK.

KU shot 9 for 23 from deep that kept them in the contest as UK shot just 4 for 18 from Louisville and that has to change moving towards March 2k19 for Kentucky. SG Keldon Johnson added 15 points and hauled in ten boards for UK with PG Ashton Hagans with a dozen points and eight helpers. His ability to control the all important "Pace" in the second half won the game for UK.
