"Scholastic Dayz" is back at Bluedude Sportstalk as a Big Fish in a Big Pond will be playing near the Puget Sound in 2019-20. Consensus Top 5 Boys High School Basketball Player Isaiah Stewart selects to extend his Hoops Career signing with the Washington Huskies and lead man Mike Hopkins which might be a shock to most on the surface.

Looking at it closer the 6-9 250 el bees of man-child from La Lumiere Prep School in Indiana by way of Rochester, N.Y. (Nike EYBL Circuit Team City Rocks) chose the Huskies over Duke, Michigan State, Syracuse, and Kentucky. Below the surface it was Hopkins (former Syracuse Assistant Coach from 1995-2017) that lands "Stew" as he has been recruiting "Stew" for a couple of years before Coach left for Washington last season.

"Stew" originally from upstate Rochester, N.Y. was in Syracuse Orange backyard and Hopkins who left fro U-Dub Seattle last season never stopped recruiting "Stew" and he lands the five-star big fella as he right behind Class of 2019 Duke Signee Vernon Carey Jr.. Look for "Stew: to be a shoe in for the McDonald's All-American Game in Atlanta, GA in March 2019.

Now 360 degrees Coach Hopkins also landed Kentucky 5-Star PG and Transfer Quade Green (Philadelphis, PA) as the connection is Hopkins was all over Green in his recruitment as Green chose the Cast over 'Cuse now heads Northwest to join Hopkins in Seattle. 'Cuse has always done well recruiting in the Philadelphia Area.

"Stew" arguably the biggest recruit in Washington Huskies Hoops joins a long line of H.S. Stars with most being from the Seattle, WA Area of Isiah Thomas (Nuggets), Dejounte Murray (Spurs), Marquese Chriss (Rockets) and Terrence Ross (Magic) to name a few Huskies of recent memory!

Note: Stewart's La Lumiere Prep Teammate PF Keion Brooks from Fort Wayne, IN a consensus Top 40 Prospect Class 2K19 has yet to sign and has all Big Ten Schools on his list with Georgetown, Kentucky, North Carolina, Texas an UCLA among others outside the Big Ten list. Watch both the Hoosiers of IU and the Boilermakers of Purdue.
