The Score should read Royals 1 Team Ian Kinsler 2 as the Tigers 2014 Trade Pick-Up for the "Prince" already paying big dividends in the Motor City. Kinsler went Yard in the 4th to give the tigers the lead 1-0 off of Royals Starter Jason Vargas who settled down after that. Vargas went seven allowing just one run on five hits striking out six Tigers and issuing one free pass.

The Royals then down 1-0 in the 9th facing Tigers new Captain "Save-A-Game" Joe Nathan and the Royals get to him on a bases loaded Sac Fly. Nathan as charged with a hit, run, and two walks and that is not they way you want to start saving games in your new Duds.

In the bottom half of the 10th the Tigers CF Austin Jackson gets the dreaded Lead Off Walk by the Royals. Jackson then advances to 2nd on a Sac Bunt only to score on a Ina Kinsler Single as the tigers in 2-1. "Mad Max" Scherzer was pulled in the 9th after going eight allowing four hits striking out seven with a free pas and no runs. He was on the Hook for the "W" until Nathan blew the save.
