The Brooklyn Nets needed this more than the Houston Rockets needed it and Nets 2013-14 All-Star Joe Johnson made sure of it. "Quietstorm" JJ had a game-high 32 points as the Rockets last lead of the game was 45-44 just above the 3-minute mark.

Nets took a 54-51 lead in at the break and led 83-79 after three. The Rockets in the 4th and final frame were never a threat as the Nets kept the pressure on finishing with a 105-96 "W". JJ was 13 of 21 and 4 for 8 from Deep as that 32 points led six Nets in double figures. The Nets New Backcourt called "Flatbush Fresh to Death" in Deron Williams and Shaun Livingston combined for 29 points, nine boards, and eight helpers with four thefts. Brooklyn shot over %53 from the field.

The Rockets get a team-high 26 points and seven assist from James Harden. Chandler Parsons added 16 points and eight boards while Omer Asik chipped in with 12 points as he hauled in twenty-three Oranges. Red Nation was +4 from the Arc and +11 from the Stripe in makes and still didn't get the "W".

Nets move to 40-33 as they are 1.5 games behind both the 43-32 Bulls and Raptors. The Rockets fall to 49-24 just a game ahead of the Warriors in the 5th slot.
