Zack Greinke was solid enough to get Win #1 in 2014 as he went just five innings allowing two runs on two hits striking out five and handing out two free passes. Dodgers struck first on a Yasiel Puig Bomb off 'Dres Starter Ian Kennedy with Carl Crawford on the bags to make it 2-0 Dodgers. LAD made it 3-0 on a Dee Gordon single scoring Juan Uribe. The Padres Seth Smith starting where he left off in the 8th inning of game one on Sunday Night took the "Greink-ster" for a Solo Ride in the 4th to make it 3-1 Dodgers.
The game then settled down after Greinke gave up another run in the bottom half of the 5th to make it 3-2 Dodgers. The Dodger Pen held up all the way until the bottom half of the 9th. Dodgers "Captain Save-A-Game" Kenley Jansen had some expected turbulence as Dodgers Nation Selt Belt Light is bright Blue when he enter the game. Jansen gets the save with a Ducks all over the pond as he seemingly always leaves them...Dodgers Win...Dodgers Win!
360 Degrees...Skip Donny Baseball went with Chris Withrow and J.P. Howell instead of Brian Wilson as the Set-Up man for Jansen. Skip Mattingly was letting them Wilson Jets cool down and will bring him in in a far better situation to get any confidence back that was shakin' after the Sunday Night Opener.
