The Philadelphia Phillies cannot live on the edge for 162 but they did for three vs the Florida Marlins as they get late heroics again this time from the Phils Middle-Infield in Chase Utley. Last night the Heroics came from the Phils other Middle Infielder J-Roll as he went Yard in Extras for a Walk-Off job.

The Fish struck first in the putting up a run in the first two innings to make it 2-0 Marlins. The Phils get one back in the bottom half of the 3rd as Ryan Howard goes Solo Shot to make it 2-1 Marlins. Marlins strike in the top half of the 5th on a Garrett Jones Solo Bomb to make it 3-1 only for the 'Phils to tie the game in the bottom half on a Wil Nieves Two-Bagger scoring Utley and Brown. With both Pens holding their own it came down to the Bottom of the 8th as Marlins Pitcher Mike Dunn serves up a game-winning Tater to Chase Utley of UCLA Hardball for a 4-3 Phils win.

Marlins Starter Henderson Alvarez goes six giving up three runs on five hits walking three and striking out one. Phils Starter Kyle Kendrick went six also giving up three runs on six hits walking three and striking out seven as neither Pitcher figured into the decision. Phils Antonio Bastardo gets the "W" with Jonathan Papelbon getting Save #3. Fish Reliever Mike Dunn takes the "L".

Phightin' Phils sweep the Marlins and move to .500 at 6-6. The Fish fall to 5-8 as they are on a seven-game skid after starting 2014 at 5-1...yikes!
