The Game was tightly played for two periods and some change then all of a sudden like the Fireworks  bringing in the New Year at Navy Pier the "Lamp was Lit". The Habs struck first as Dale Weise gets a wrister past Hawks Net Minder Corey Crawford to make it 1-0 at the 12:29 mark in the 3rd. The Hawks then strike as Jeremy Morin lights the lamp to make it 1-1 midway through the 3rd. The Habs Francis Bouillon gets a slapper past Crawford not even 22 seconds after Morin's Goal to make it 2-1 Habs.

Hawks appearing "Ice Games Dead" score on a Marian Hossa Wrister with :48 seconds remaining in the 3rd to send the game into Extras as the Madhouse was screaming for more. Then just 43 seconds into Extras Blackhawks Nation's Favorite Permanent Marker "Sharpie #10" puts his John Hancock on the game and Hawks Nation drive home safely. Hawks win in dramatic fashion picking up two more points as they make that push to the Top of the Central.

Crawford stooped 28 of 30 as the Habs Net Minder Peter Budaj stopped 25 of 28 as both brought their A-Game in Frames 1 through 2. Hawks now with 107 point is tied with Team Teal and just four points off the 111 point Blue Notes who leads the West.
