The State Farm Home Run Derby was announced Tonight by NL HR Derby Captain and Boys in Blue Star Matt Kemp. Kemp was going after the NL again this season until hamstring issues sidelined him. But it looks like the Kempster will compete in the HR Derby the day before the 83rd Mid Summers Classic.

The 4-Man Roster for the National League to hit Bombs, Taters, the Long Ball, Going Yard, and NO NO NO NO NO NOOOOO....Adios Pelota sponsored by Who you Wit for the Long Ball on Team Senior Circuit:

Dodgers CF Matt Kemp .355 12 HR 28 RBI : Kemp has been sidelined by a hamstring injury but looks like he will be a go for the Home Run Derby. He has a shot to win it but will he be in good enough hitting shape or rhythm to compete let alone win.

Redbirds RF Carlos Beltran .310 20 HR 61 RBI: A resurgence for Mr. Beltran has got him an All-Star Bid and a Spot in the HR Derby. He is also going back where it all started as he came up a Royals Farmhand....Karma.

Rockies LF Carlos Gonzalez .337 17 HR 58 RBI: Oozing with 5-Tool Type Talent and we always throw that out there randomly like everyone has it. Gonzo is the truth and he plays in Coors Field where the ball flies out as though you have a 9-Iron out trying to get to the Green.  If he can keep his nerves at bay he has a chance extremely strong Hitter Middle In......#QuickHands

Marlins RF Giancarlo Stanton .282 19 HR 50 RBI: A Marlins surprise of sorts as he is their Lone All Star with a team that has Jose Reyes and Hanley Ramirez. Has excellent power to all fields and he may be the Sleeper of the bunch on Derby Night.
