The Bulls played lackluster at best but remember there is not a lot of Cap Room on that Roster so they were looking for a Diamond in the Rough and may have found one.
Referring to the West Side Story Report #36 a few days back I told Bulls Nation the Players to Watch and I though SDSU Aztecs PF/C Malcolm Thomas would be a factor. And right I was as he makes the All-702 Team for 2012 and captures the Sin City Summer League Rebounding Title at 12.4 Boards while averaging 11.4 P.P.G. a Double-Double for Mr. Thomas.
The West Side Story Report Butler...Jimmy of Buzz Williams' World...was putting in work for See Red. Butler averaged 20.8 P.P.G. and that was good for 3rd in Summer League in Scoring while also netting 6.5 Boards per contest. The Bulls needed to see some development from Butler and they have to be pleased.
The Teague Watch was as expected while averaging 10.6 P.P.G he also had an Assist to Turnover Ratio of 3/3.8 and he will have to make that adjustment quickly in the Logo. Teague also shot a dismal .294% from the Field and the Rook Point Guard had Major Work to do but Time to make amends before Opening Night 2012.
Disappointments were Former Fightin' Illini PG Demetri McCamey and VCU Rams' PF Jamie Skeen. Neither helped their cause in getting invited back to Bulls Camp in October.
